Niagara County Department of Health offers free chronic pain self-management workshop

The Niagara County Department of Health nursing division, in partnership with the Niagara County Office for the Aging, is offering a free chronic pain self-management workshop. The six-week workshop starts April 15 and is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. until noon Mondays at the North Tonawanda Library, 5050 Meadow Drive.

Kathy Hochul announced increased patrols by New York State Police and local law enforcement to combat alcohol and drug-impaired and reckless driving as celebrations for St. Patrick's Day get underway statewide. This traffic enforcement detail will run Friday, March 15, through Sunday, March 17. It is funded by the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee.

Maid of the Mist returns April 4

The iconic all-electric Maid of the Mist, which has been in continuous operation since 1885, sets sail on the 2024 season at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 4. Tours will depart every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekends. The hours of operation will be extended throughout the summer.
