Town of Niagara Active Hose was the scene of a mega meat and basket raffle to benefit Francis Center, a ministry of the Sisters of St. Francis at Stella Niagara. Registration now open for household hazardous waste collection event in NT

Niagara County Legislator Randy Bradt announced registration is now open for the county's next household hazardous waste (HHW) collection event, which will be held Saturday, Nov. 4, in North Tonawanda. The county will also be offering paper shredding. The event is open to all Niagara County residents, but people must register in advance.

Niagara Falls man pleads guilty to gun charge

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced 36-year-old Vincent E. Smith of Niagara Falls pleaded guilty this morning before Erie County Court Judge James Bargnesi to one count of attempted criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree (class "D" felony).
