Niagara County Legislature Will Collins, chairman of the infrastructure committee, today announced three upcoming road closures as the Department of Public Works undertakes several culvert replacement projects this fall. HUD: $3.3 million to protect families from lead, other home health & safety hazards in Niagara County

The sixth "Rock Out Cancer" event is less than a month away, and plans are coming together for the annual event, hosted by Niagara Cancer Survivors. The day is filled with food, basket raffles and 50/50 split draws. This year, the Buffalo Bills vs. Las Vegas Raiders game will be televised on all TVs and, at the end of the game, an 85-inch TCL Roku Smart TV will be amongst the raffle prizes awarded.

One of the most anticipated races of the season is this coming Tuesday at the Ransomville Speedway as the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series will be in competition for the Ron Martin Memorial Summer Nationals, and the Sportsman Super DIRTcar Series will be in action for the third annual Mike Bonesky Memorial. Both races are in honor and memory of two individuals who dedicated their lives to racing and the Ransomville Speedway.
Saturday morning shooting in Niagara Falls

On Saturday morning at approximately 4:20 a.m., Niagara Falls Police responded to a shooting that occurred in the 400 block of Fourth Street. Two adult males were transported to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center in private vehicles suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other victim was stabilized and transported to ECMC where he is in critical condition.
