The Town of Wheatfield has released its tentative budget for 2023.
By the numbers, the $15,127,415 budget plan calls for $5,189,920 in general fund spending; $3,243,000 for the town Highway Department fund; $1,779,117 for the water fund; $1,783,310 for the sewer fund; $1,800,000 in the fire protection districts account; $28,000 in the lighting districts; and $1,304,000 in the garbage district account.
The plan estimates revenues of $4,564,920, with $625,000 in fund balance spending and a $0 tax levy for the general fund; $2,843,068, with $400,000 in fund balance spending and a $0 tax levy in the Highway Department fund; $1,779,117 with $0 fund balance spending and a $0 tax levy in the water fund; and $667,0200, with $50,000 fund balance spending and a $1,066,110 impact on the tax levy in the sewer fund.
Other budget numbers with impacts on the tax levy include $0 in estimated revenues, $150,000 in fund balance spending and $1,650,000 for fire protection districts; $0 in estimated revenues, $0 in fund balance and $28,000 toward the tax levy in lighting districts; and $0 in estimated revenues, $25,000 in fund balance and $1,279,000 toward in the tax levy in the garbage district account.
The impacts on the tax levy from all of the aforementioned categories totals $4,023,110.
