One of Artpark & Company's premier summertime family events took place on Saturday with the "Summer Solstice Celebration" in Lewiston.
The seventh annual Fairy House Festival took place outdoors in Artpark's lower park areas. Despite the almost 90-degree temperature, parents and children came out early and had fun with a whole host of assorted colorful costumed characters. They admired handmade miniature fairy houses, created unique potions and T-shirts, and dance, dance, danced.
In the late afternoon, Emerald Grove was home to jugglers and musicians from Slyboots Circus, spoken word with Masters of Revelry, and midair pirouetting from Buffalo Aerial Dance.
As evening began, the internationally known Lehrer Dance took to the special "Niagara 1979" "Painted Parking Lot" stage to showcase some of the area's top dancers and choreographers.
More activities took place on the theater terrace to conclude the day's event.
