Post-holiday youth spiritual event returns for sixth consecutive year

More than 2,000 youth and adults from across the U.S. and Canada will return to Niagara Falls for the Joshua Revolution 2012 conference, "Niagara '12 The Last Trump," from Dec. 27-31. For the first time in six years, the event will be a five-day conference.

This is the sixth consecutive year Niagara USA has hosted the Joshua Revolution and, for the second time, the conference is completely free to attend.

"Niagara '12 The Last Trump" will include junior and senior high school student participants who will attend a series of "Power Sessions" featuring speakers and worship leaders from across the country. Keynote speakers include Gabriel Swaggart, Andrew Leeuw (from Johannesburg, South Africa), Loren Larson, Marlene Klepees (who was miraculously healed of cerebral palsy at the age of 19) and many others.

"For the first time in its history, the Niagara youth conference is being extended one day longer and we could not be more excited," said Mike Chorey, director of Joshua Revolution. "The theme of Niagara '12 is 'The Last Trump.' The Bible says just before Jesus comes for his church the trump will sound, and we believe that time is very near. Niagara '12 is focused on proclaiming the message of the cross to over 2,500 young people, youth leaders and families, and preparing them for the soon return of Jesus Christ."

"Niagara '12" will close with a prayer walk on Dec. 31 at 9:30 a.m. Youth and adults will meet for an outdoor rally and time of prayer on Old Falls Street, and then walk from the Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls down to Niagara Falls State Park.

Over the course of the conference, the Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls and participating hotels, including Quality Inn Niagara, Sheraton at the Falls, Comfort Inn "The Pointe" and Holiday Inn Niagara Falls, will be utilized, resulting in approximately 897 room night reservations, with about 245 hotel rooms filled on peak nights of the convention.

"We look forward to another successful conference and continued relationship with Joshua Revolution," said John Percy, president and CEO of the Niagara Tourism & Convention Corp. "Their annual conference contributes to our local economy and hoteliers during the holidays, a commonly quiet time for the tourism industry."

Joshua Revolution is a city-reaching organization that works with the local church in assisting in evangelism, discipleship and outreach. Having been to five different cities since 2001, Joshua Revolution has reached more than 100,000 young people and adults through conferences and crusades since its inception in 1993.
