Robert Moses Parkway North meeting draws local interest

A second public input session on the Robert Moses Parkway North and Niagara Gorge corridor plan was held Monday at the Niagara Falls Public Library.

Parsons Transportation Group project manager Thomas Donohue brought along six different RMP alternatives -- everything from complete restoration to complete removal. The public was asked to evaluate the designs and then grade each on a scale of 0 to 5. Based on that feedback, the three or four most well received designs will receive additional research.

The six alternative designs will be on display from June 7-10 at The Niagara Arts and Cultural Center (1201 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls), and from June 13-17 at the Red Brick Municipal Building (corner of North Fourth and Ridge streets, Lewiston). Questions will be taken by project staff from 3:30 until 5 p.m. each day.

The Parkway Preservation Committee will hold an open meeting on Thursday, at 5 p.m., at the Red Brick.
