Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Peter Frampton is celebrating 60 years of touring with his “Let's Do It Again!” tour – and will be at the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino on April 9. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, through ticketmaster.ca.
“What an honor to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame – congratulations to an icon,” said Cathy Price, vice president of marketing and resort operations at Niagara Casinos. “Peter Frampton is as legendary as his music, and we can’t wait to welcome him back!”
Grammy-winning guitarist Frampton is one of the most celebrated artists and guitarists in rock history. His collaborations in recording sessions and live performances range from such legendary artists as George Harrison, Harry Nilsson, David Bowie, Dion, Hank Marvin, Ringo Starr, B.B. King, Mike McCready & Matt Cameron (Pearl Jam), Buddy Guy and Steve Miller.
Frampton’s relevancy has not waned in the least over the years. He worked closely with Cameron Crowe on his Oscar-winning film “Almost Famous,” as a technical adviser, writing music for the fictional band Stillwater – and even making a cameo as Humble Pie’s road manager. In 2007, Frampton won a Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Album for “Fingerprints,” and in 2014 he was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame.
Frampton received the prestigious Les Paul Innovation Award from NAMM’s TEC Awards in 2019, and his album, “All Blues,” was No. 1 for 15 weeks on Billboard’s Blues Chart.
In 2020, Frampton was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, as his autobiography, “Do You Feel Like I Do?: A Memoir,” debuted on The New York Times Bestsellers list. His 2021 album, “Frampton Forgets The Words,” was released to widespread critical acclaim.
After 46 years, “Frampton Comes Alive!” remains one of the top-selling live records of all time, selling over 17 million worldwide.
