Buffalo's children's museum will be open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 20, with special programming & activities

The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Children's Museum will be open for play on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and is proud to offer $5 admission for all adults and children ages 1 and up on Monday, Jan. 20, thanks to BankOnBuffalo. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time using discount code MLKDAY at checkout.
Celebrate Black Excellence at the museum as we honor the legacy of Dr. King with special programming and activities presented by BankOnBuffalo, including:
√ Red Tails model airplane making: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Tinkering Tank
√ Dr. King collaborative mural: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in the art studio
√ “Take The First Step” craft with Buffalo and Erie County Public Library: 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the art studio
√ African drumming demonstration by Dynamic Drum Arts of WNY: noon-2 p.m. in the Celebration Room
√ Food sampling that celebrates Black History by Home Beneath Our Feet: noon-2 p.m. in the cooking galley
All activities are included in the price of admission.
Please note: Any adult wishing to visit the museum must be accompanied by a child.
BankOnBuffalo and Explore & More are also hosting a “Coats & Cans” drive to benefit the families surrounding Gerard Place in East Buffalo. Winter clothing items and nonperishable food items can be dropped off at Explore & More and all BankOnBuffalo branches through Saturday, Feb. 1, during regular business hours.
There is a particularly strong need for winter coats for all ages.
