Niagara County Public Works Commissioner Garret Meal today announced the Niagara County Golf Course on Davison Road in Lockport will be closed Monday Oct. 28, through Wednesday Oct. 30, so that the parking lot can be paved. Groff’s Café on the Green will also be closed during this time. The golf course and restaurant will reopen Thursday, Oct. 31.
“Many golfers have been taking advantage of the great weather in October to continue to play at the county course, so we apologize for the inconvenience of closing the course for a few days,” Meal said. “However, we want to complete this project before the weather turns and, if we miss our window, it will be delayed into next spring, which we want to avoid.”
Meal said the golf course does not have a firm date for closing for winter, but will stay open as long as weather permits. To reach the golf course, call 716-439-7954.
