Fallsview Casino Press Release

Canadian rock music will be well-represented next spring, as Kim Mitchell & David Wilcox will be heading to the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino at 9 p.m. Feb. 8, 2025, followed by Sam Roberts Band at 8 p.m. Feb. 22. Tickets for both performances go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11.

“We have three Canadian icons that are ready and set to rock the stage!” said Cathy Price, vice president of marketing, Niagara Casinos. “Their unmistakable vocals and high-octane music are the reason they are some of the most iconic Canadian talent”.

Catch Canadian artists Mitchell and Wilcox for a one-night-only event.

Mitchell is a Canadian rock icon who has sold more than 1.5 million records in Canada, earned 17 Juno Awards nominations, and, in 2021, was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. He is one of the most well-known and peer-respected Canadian guitar players and an acclaimed singer-songwriter who has written many classic rock anthems, including “Go For Soda,” Rock N Roll Duty,” “Patio Lanterns,” “I am a Wild Party,” “Easy To Tame” and “All We Are.” These hits have become part of the Canadian musical landscape – and earned Mitchell three Juno Award wins for Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Most Promising Male Vocalist.

Wilcox’s debut album, “Out of the Woods,” produced three hits: "Do the Bearcat," "Bad Apple" and "That Hypnotizin’ Boogie." He signed with Capitol Records in 1982, rereleasing “Out of the Woods,” which became Wilcox's first album to reach gold status. His second album, “My Eyes Keep Me in Trouble,” released in 1983, and featured "Downtown Came Uptown" and "Riverboat Fantasy.” It was his second straight Gold record. In 2013, at the Vancouver Island Musicfest, Wilcox played alongside with James BurtonAlbert Lee and Amos Garrett. They later released the live album, “Guitar Heroes,” on Stony Plain Records, based on their performance.

Also, don't miss your chance to see the Canadian rock group Sam Roberts Band. With over 125 million career streams to date, the award-winning rock act maintains its tradition of delivering chart-topping singles, consistently surpassing expectations with the music. Born in Montreal, double-Platinum-selling artist Roberts launched a career of radio hits with “The Inhuman Condition,” which included “Brother Down” and the No. 1 hit “Don’t Walk Away Eileen.” His eight albums have garnered multiple awards and include life-moment defining favorites “Hard Road” and “Where Have All the Good People Gone?” plus “Them Kids,” “We’re All In This Together” and “All Of Us.” The band’s latest single, “Afterlife,” has been added to the repertoire of Canadian staples, reaching a new generation.

Opening for Sam Roberts Band is Canadian Indie rock singer-songwriter Matt Mays. He won a 2014 Juno Award for Rock Album of The Year for “Coyote.”
