EBT system is switching to new vendor

The Erie County Department of Social Services advises the public that New York's Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) system will be temporarily unavailable on Sunday, May 19, between 12:01 and 11 a.m. This outage is due to the transition to a new EBT vendor. While the actual duration of the outage may vary, updates will be available on https://otda.ny.gov/.
During this time, EBT cardholders will not have access to their benefits, including food and cash purchases or withdrawals. In addition, the customer service channels such as the toll-free helpline, mobile app, and online portal will be unavailable. It is recommended to plan food and cash purchases accordingly.
