The Niagara Area Foundation, a geographic division of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, is now accepting grant applications from nonprofit organizations for its 2023 grant cycle. Applications are due by 4 p.m. Oct. 13, and can be submitted online at www.TheNiagaraAreaFoundation.org.
A press release stated, “The Niagara Area Foundation is committed to strengthening Niagara County by addressing critical needs to improve lives.”
In 2023, the Niagara Area Foundation will consider any submitted applications that have maximum positive impact on Niagara County and that align with one of the council’s two goals:
√ Youth Enrichment: To build stronger communities through the enrichment of youth, positive youth development, and equity and inclusion.
√ Environment: To support and enhance education and awareness about the importance and creation of a healthy, vibrant and safe ecosystem for Niagara County residents.
Preference will be given to projects that are located within or serve urban and rural low-income communities in Niagara County.
Approximately $60,000 is available for the 2023 grant cycle, with a maximum grant award of $10,000. The Niagara Area Foundation awards are made possible thanks to the generosity of individuals and groups who established funds with the Niagara Area Foundation for the benefit of Niagara County residents.
