By the American Heart Association

The American Heart Association, the Buffalo Bills and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield are teaming up to save lives. More than 1,000 people are expected to learn Hands-Only CPR at a special event June 3. After learning CPR, fans and families can enjoy locker room tours, on-field activities and more.

This event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Highmark Stadium, 1 Bills Drive, Orchard Park. It will include remarks by Jason Stulb, executive director of the American Heart Association, Buffalo/Niagara; Gretchen Geitter, VP of community relations for the Buffalo Bills; Dr. Michael Edbauer, president, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of WNY; and Buffalo Bills Safety Damar Hamlin.

A press release stated, “With nearly three out of four cardiac arrests outside of the hospital occurring in homes, knowing how to perform CPR is critically important. CPR, especially if performed immediately, could double or triple a cardiac arrest victim’s chance of survival.”

A second mass training event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Johnnie B. Wiley Pavilion, 1100 Jefferson Ave., Buffalo

Registration for both Hands-Only CPR training events is available at www.heart.org/BuffaloBillsCPR.

The Buffalo Bills are a proud Live Fierce, Be the Beat supporter of the American Heart Association of WNY.
