Erie County Department of Health changing COVID-19 testing & vaccine schedule at Jesse Nash Health Center

New days, hours take effect on Monday, Dec. 12

Beginning Monday, Dec. 12, the Erie County Department of Health will have a new schedule for its coronavirus testing and vaccine clinic at the Jesse Nash Health Center, 608 William St., Buffalo.

•Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays:

√ 9 a.m. to noon: Free COVID-19 testing. Rapid tests (results available in about 20 minutes) and PCR tests (results in one to three business days; includes a flu and RSV test);

√ 1-4 p.m.: Free COVID-19 vaccines.

For ages 6 months and older. Pfizer and Moderna vaccines available, including the new, updated bivalent boosters offering protection against the omicron variants. Boosters are available for people ages 5 years and older, if it has been at least two months since their last vaccine dose.

The schedule will be in effect on all days the Jesse Nash Health Center is open. The site will be closed Monday, Dec. 26, and Monday, Jan. 2, for observed county holidays.

No appointments are needed for testing or for a vaccine. Erie County continues to offer its “Vax Visit” service for at-home vaccinations for any Erie County resident ages 6 months and older. Call 716-858-2929 to be scheduled.

Free at-home COVID-19 tests are available at the front desk of the Jesse Nash Health Center. Many municipal offices throughout Erie County also have a supply of at-home tests for residents. See www.erie.gov/ppe, “Locations in Erie County where you can pick up test kits.” Call for availability.
