A fundraiser is being planned for Jenny Van Schoonhoven, 36 years old, and her family: husband Jesse, and 11-year-old son Micah.
Three months ago, Jenny didn't have any idea that their life would be flipped upside down. She was recently diagnosed with stage 3-4 ovarian cancer.
A fundraiser will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday April 22, at iHope Community Church, 316 Thompson St., North Tonawanda. All proceeds will go toward Jenny’s cancer treatments and expenses during this difficult time. At this event, organizers will have a basket raffle, silent auction, and food.
UPDATE: Organizers said this event will now feature more than 100 baskets for auction; 20-plus items in the silent auction, including a Buffalo Sabres hockey stick signed by Rasmus Dahlin; and a signed Buffalo Bills helmet with Stefon Diggs’ signature.
