Aftaar dinner in Buffalo

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Buffalo’s annual Aftaar dinner will be held April 1 at the Masjid Mahdi Mosque, located at 9610 Colvin Blvd., Niagara Falls.

A press release stated, “The Aftaar dinner is an annual tradition during the holy month of Ramadan, which is observed by Muslims worldwide. This event is a special occasion for members of the community to come together and break their fasts at sunset, following a day of fasting and prayer.”

This year, the month of Holy Ramadhan will start on Thursday, March 27.

The event will feature a meal, including traditional dishes from different regions of the world, as well as a presentation on the significance of Ramadan and the Islamic faith.

The press release explained, “The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Buffalo is a diverse and inclusive community, and welcomes people of all backgrounds and faiths to attend the Aftaar dinner and learn more about Islam and the holy month of Ramadan.”

Dr. Nasir Khan, president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Buffalo, said, "We are delighted to host the Aftaar Dinner and welcome members of the Buffalo community to join us in this special occasion. This event is an opportunity for us to come together, share a meal, and foster understanding and harmony between different cultures and religions."
