Sheriff Michael J. Filicetti is proud to announce the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office forensic laboratory successfully completed a reassessment to secure a continuation of its International Standard Organization 17025 Accreditation to the ANSI National Accreditation Board.
The ANSI National Accreditation Board is the longest established provider of accreditation based on standards set forth by the International Standard Organization of the United States. During this assessment process, disciplines must undergo protocol and case work critique by technical assessors who evaluate the competence of the forensic service provider and conformance with accreditation requirements.
Filicetti stated, “The Sheriff’s Office forensic laboratory continues to demonstrate their ability to operate at the highest level of accreditation. The men and women who perform these highly technical skills are commended for their professionalism and dedication to the work they perform each and every day.”
