Obituary: Rosemary W. Whiting

Rosemary "Ro" nee Woodward Whiting died Nov. 9, 2022. She was born June 17, 1922, in Buffalo, and resided in Buffalo, Kenmore, Grand Island and, most recently, Williamsville. She was the cherished wife for 75 years of Richard "Bud" Whiting; the proud and loving mother of Scott W. (Carol) Whiting, Richard C. Whiting Jr., Rosemary W. (Don) Culbert, Winanne Whiting, Connie (Rob) Fitzpatrick, Jim (Barb) Whiting, and Diane W. (John) Lowe; the lovingly involved grandmother of Scottie, Jay and the late Jonathan Whiting, Natalee (Brennan) Carey, Julia Culbert, Sean (Kayla) Fitzpatrick, Casey Fitzpatrick, Zachary Whiting, Jessie and Matt
Lowe; the great-grandmother of Austin, Michael and Skyler; the daughter of the late J. Galvin and Lillian Woodworth; predeceased by sister Suzanne W. (George C. "Bus") Hamberger; and survived by many close nieces and nephews.

Rosemary was loyal and devoted to all her family and many dear friends throughout her lifetime. She was loved by all who knew her.

Visitation will be at the James E. Grace Funeral Home Inc., 335 Ontario St., Buffalo, from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Nov. 15, at St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, 2100 Baseline Road, Grand Island.

In lieu of flowers , memorial donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Buffalo or to the American Red Cross Buffalo.
