Obituary: George 'Jake' William Strott

Oct. 10, 1935 – Jan. 12, 2022

Born in Niagara Falls, New York, he was the son of the late Arthur and Margaret (Albaugh) Strott. The loving husband of Carolyn (Bruno), he is the father of George (Donna) and Kenneth (Ann); and the brother of Lynn and the late Thomas (Agnes) Strott. He is loved by his grandchildren Brittany, Christopher, Matthew, Luke, Elizabeth, Mary Helen and Sheila; and great-grandchildren Bronx, Brady, Truett and Sawyer.

George served in the U.S. Army. He worked 39 years for Moore Business Forms.

George and his wife, Carolyn, retired to Florida, where he enjoyed golfing on his home course. He was club champion multiple times and was also president of the Golf Association. George enjoyed numerous visits from his sons and their families over the years. "Paw" loved taking his grandkids to various sporting events as well as Busch Gardens.

A memorial service is planned for 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 16, at St. Stephen R.C. Church on Grand Island.
