Damar Hamlin: 'This will make me stronger'

On Saturday evening, Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin tweeted the following:

“Putting love into the world comes back 3xs as much… thankful for everyone who has reached out and prayed. This will make me stronger on the road to recovery, keep praying for me!”

On Instagram, Hamlin shared:

“When you put real love out into the world it comes back to you 3x's as much. … The Love has been overwhelming, but I'm thankful for every single person that prayed for me and reached out. We brung the world back together behind this. If you know me you know this only gone make me stronger. On a long road keep praying for me!  #3strong”

On Sunday, Hamlin tweeted out a picture of himself and his family, and was commenting on the Buffalo Bills game versus the New England Patriots.

Interestingly enough, the team noted an opening kickoff returned for a touchdown was the first in 3 years and 3 months. Hamlin replied, "God Behind All This No Coincidence."

Following the Bills’ 35-23 win, Hamlin announced the sale of three shirts, each reading “Did We Win?” with his hands making the heart symbol. He wrote, “We all won. I want to give back an ounce of the love y'all showed me. Proceeds of this shirt will go to first-responders and the UC Trauma Center. Go get yours! http://DidWeWin.shop

On Monday, the Buffalo Bills posted,

"We are thrilled and proud to share that Damar Hamlin has been released from the hospital and returned to Buffalo.

“He is doing well and this is the next stage of his recovery." – UC Medical Center

Hamlin shared:

“Headed home to Buffalo today with a lot of love on my heart. Watching the world come together around me on Sunday was truly an amazing feeling. The same love you all have shown me is the same love that I plan to put back into the world n more. Bigger than football!”

And, “Grateful for the awesome care I received at UCMC. Happy to be back in Buffalo. The docs and nurses at Buffalo General have already made me feel at home!”
