Destination Niagara USA awarded 2022 Platinum Choice Award by Smart Meetings Magazine

Destination Niagara USA, the official destination marketing organization for Niagara County, has been recognized by Smart Meetings Magazine with a Platinum Choice Award for 2022.

A press release said, “Smart Meetings sets the industry standard for the best venues and destinations for meeting professionals, and the award highlights Destination Niagara USA for providing the highest standards of overall excellence in service.

“To determine this honor, industry professionals and Smart Meetings readers cast their votes, and the editorial team selects final honorees.”

Niagara President and CEO John Percy said, “The team of professionals at Destination Niagara USA and the Niagara Falls Convention Center work closely with key hospitality partners in the region to ensure meeting planners receive top-notch support as they organize an event, and the service continues as they help to facilitate the best possible experience for attendees in the destination.”

Destination Niagara USA assumed management of the Niagara Falls Convention Center in January.

“2022 has been a successful year in terms of the return of in-person meetings, and being selected to receive a Platinum Choice Award from Smart Meetings is an exciting confirmation of the excellence we strive for at Destination Niagara USA,” Percy said.

The Niagara Falls Convention Center hosted 77 events in 2022, creating total building revenue of more than $3 million, and having an estimated economic impact of more than $10.7 million.
