Niagara County Employment & Training, Veterans Service Agency to take part in veterans service fair

Two Niagara County departments will join with state agencies and other service providers to take part in a veterans services fair on Dec. 14 in Lockport. Both the Niagara County Employment & Training and the Veterans Service Agency will participate, to provide assistance and information to veterans.

“There are many programs and opportunities to help veterans in the workforce,” said Don Jablonski, director of the Niagara County Department of Employment & Training. “Our WorkSource One team will be on hand to talk about these programs and other ways we can help veterans looking for a job or perhaps a new career.”

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lockport Department of Labor Office, 272 S. Transit St. Right now, more than a dozen agencies are participating.

“This is great to have all these agencies at this event to provide a one-stop shop for veterans,” said David Wohleben, Niagara County veterans service officer. “We will be there to help veterans in obtaining benefits they are entitled to, especially when it comes to navigating the federal bureaucracy.”
