The Neighbors Foundation said it appreciates the generosity of the teachers, administrators, students and parents who donated food as part of the “Elementary School Turkey Trot” event that was held at the Grand Island High School Track on Nov. 5.

Organizers said, “Through the generosity of the participants, the Neighbors Foundation will be able to provide food assistance to our neighbors in need. Our neighbors can find themselves in need throughout the year, and the holiday season can be particularly difficult for those trying to make ends meet. Thank you to all who donated to help make the holiday season brighter for our neighbors!”

Those in need of assistance, or who would like to donate to the Neighbors Foundation, can visit www.gineighbors.org.
