UPDATE: Due to the pending storm, Saturday's "Electric Light Parade and Noel at Niagara" illumination has been canceled.

Supervisor Lee Wallace issued the following statement: "Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control and with the possibility of a major weather event in our area and the surrounding communities, we have no choice but to cancel this year’s 'Noel at Niagara' parade and lighting event. I want to sincerely thank you all for your hard work and dedication to this event. With no possibility of a make-up date, my hope is that next year’s event will be bigger and better."
Information regarding the upcoming illumination of Veteran's Memorial Community Park will follow.

The Town of Niagara “Electric Light Parade & Noel at Niagara” will return at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, to Lockport Road and Veteran’s Memorial Community Park.

The 50-plus-unit parade will begin at 5 p.m. at the Town of Niagara Town Hall, then head west on Lockport Road, into Veteran’s Memorial Community Park, where it will end at the Calvin K. Richards Senior/Youth Activity Center.

The illumination will then take place at approximately 6:30 p.m., as Santa Claus takes the stage and leads the children and adults in a countdown that will end with fireworks and brightly lit holiday displays throughout the park.

Vendors will include Tim Hortons, Lugia’s Ice Cream, Outlaw Popcorn, Roadside Diner and Viola’s subs.

Parking will also be available on Military Road at Rite Aid, Tops Supermarkets, Niagara Presbyterian Church, as well as Colonial Village School and Quarry Road. There will be a parking bus shuttle that will arrive at each location approximately every 15 minutes and drive to the park prior to the beginning of the parade at 5 p.m.

The light displays in the park will be illuminated from 5-9 p.m. daily, running through New Year’s Day. The complete schedule of events will be available at a later date by visiting townofniagararecreation.com.
