Niagara County gives out Beacon of Hope Award to health department leadership

The Niagara County Legislature returned to meeting in person this week and acknowledged the leadership team of the Niagara County Health Department for its “tremendous efforts in leading the county through the pandemic.”

Legislator Jesse Gooch presented a resolution that was adopted by the Legislature honoring the entire NCDOH. Legislature Chairwoman Becky Wydysh presented the Beacon of Hope Award to the NCDOH leadership team.

She read aloud the award inscription, “This award recognizes that, during the darkest days of the COVID-19 pandemic, through your selfless dedication to your job, tireless hard work, commitment to serving others and your unique talents, you were not only essential to Niagara County, you were a Beacon of Hope to your fellow residents.”
