Yamaha Motor Corp. U.S.A. recently selected its top six outstanding motorsports technicians, taken from over a hundred applicants. These individuals were chosen based on Yamaha technical training gold certification scores, and went to Atlanta to compete. After days of grueling competition, the Yamaha Motorsports Group announced Tyler Schwartzott from Bob Weaver Motorsports & Marine Inc. in North Tonawanda finished on top. He is the winner of the 2022 United States Technician Grand Prix.

Tyler and his wife, Michele, will now be invited to attend the World Technician Grand Prix, to be held at the Yamaha Motor factory in Japan next fall.

“The 2022 United States Technician GP was a challenging event that required these top-tier technicians to troubleshoot and repair Yamaha motorsports,” said a representative of Yamaha Motor Corp. U.S.A.’s motorsports group. “Utilizing skills developed through their Yamaha Technical Academy YTA training, all of the contestants performed admirably. The contest required clear thinking, nerves of steel and outstanding technical skills to meet the challenge. We’re proud of all of our contestants, and we’re excited to have Tyler represent the United States at the World Tech GP.”

A press release said, “Bob Weaver and the entire staff would like to congratulate Tyler Schwartzott on representing Bob Weaver Motorsports in the 2022 United States Technician Grand Prix.”
