“42nd Street” – the big, bright tap-dancing extravaganza – is set to take Lockport by storm!

This timeless show is the ultimate showbiz fairytale of the chorus kid who becomes an overnight star. A 1930s backstage musical packed with plenty of show stopping numbers, audiences will be swept up in the magic and rhythmically tapping their feet to classics “Lullaby of Broadway,” “We’re In The Money,” “Shuffle Off To Buffalo” and, of course, “42nd Street.”

Under the direction of Christopher Parada and the Curtain Up Productions team, “42nd Street” will be staged July 14-24, with 7:30 p.m. performances Thursday-Saturday, and a 3 p.m. performance on Sunday.

The Historic Palace Theatre is located in the heart of downtown Lockport. Built in 1925 by Charles Dickenson, the proscenium arch-style space is well known as an architectural marvel of the city. It is owned and operated by a nonprofit organization, Historic Palace Inc.
