Brand-new song and official music video out everywhere today

Fresh off an action-packed week at Nashville’s “CMA Fest,” Platinum country talents Chris Lane and Lauren Alaina are combining for the very first time on all new duet “Dancin’ In The Moonlight,” available everywhere now.

The new tune, written by Jesse Frasure, Sherman Kelly and Brett Tyler, and produced by Joey Moi, is a riff on the uber popular King Harvest song released in 1972 with a country pop twist.

“I’m so excited to have new music to share today alongside one of the most talented, fun people to work with, Lauren Alaina,” Lane says. “The first time I heard this take on ‘Dancin’ In The Moonlight,’ it was a demo I kept listening to on repeat. It sounds like summer to me and feels like the kind of song you want to put on when you’re on the boat, at a bonfire, grilling, or hanging with the people you love. I love the classic feel it has, and I love that I get to share it with my second-favorite Lauren. Can’t wait for you to hear it, and to perform it all summer long!”

"I am beyond honored to be a part of 'Dancin' In The Moonlight' for so many reasons," Alaina shares. "The original is one of those songs that lives on for many generations. Everyone knows the original. I am excited to be a part of a new take on such an impactful and iconic song. I absolutely love the way it turned out. It’s an added bonus that I get to sing it with my buddy, Chris Lane. He is such an amazing man, artist and friend. The song gets stuck in my head, and I actually want to listen to it myself. That’s a rarity for me. I have high hopes for what this song will do for us, and I am overly grateful to be a part of such a special interpolation to such a hit. Hopefully, we can make it a hit again."

To pair with the groovy new song, Lane and Alaina have released a time-hopping official music video directed by Justin Clough and shot at Nashville’s speakeasy-style bar, Old Glory. Spanning four different eras – the 1920s, 1950s, 1970s and today – the clip features film roll-style featurettes showcasing the two country stars dressed to the nines in decade-specific staples, dancing and narrating the buzzed about new duet.

Introducing “a decidedly more country sound” (MusicRow), Lane is launching his next chapter with over 1.4 billion on-demand streams and three No. 1s to date – Platinum “Big, Big Plans,” three-times-Platinum “I Don’t Know About You,” and Platinum “Fix.” After a spree of releases in 2021 and 2022, Lane’s catalog has expanded with hits “Howdy,” “Stop Coming Over,” “Summer Job Money,” “Fill Them Boots,” "Ain't Even Met You Yet," “HIXTAPE: Vol. 2” collaboration “Small Town On It” with Scotty McCreery, and Dustin Lynch duet “Tequila On A Boat.” The Kernersville (North Carolina) native has scored nominations at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, ACM Awards, and Radio Disney Music Awards. Lane just wrapped his headlining “Fill Them Boots Tour,” will join Kane Brown for part of his international “Drunk or Dreaming Tour” this fall, and previously shared the bill with A-list acts Florida Georgia Line, Brad Paisley and Dan + Shay.

Grand Ole Opry member and multi-Platinum-selling singer/songwriter Alaina earned three No. 1 hit singles in just under three years with her smash “Road Less Traveled” (2017), the now seven-times-Platinum “What Ifs” (2018) with her childhood friend and superstar Kane Brown, (his first career No. 1), and “One Beer” (2020) with friend and rising star HARDY (also his first career No. 1). Her No. 1 debuting album “Sitting Pretty On Top of The World,” which includes her single “Getting Over Him” featuring Jon Pardi, as well as her recently RIAA-certified Gold-selling “Getting Good.” Alaina, a best-selling and first-time author, released her inspirational book, “Getting Good at Being You: Learning to Love Who God Made You to Be,” in December, and was the No. 1 new release on two of Amazon’s sales charts in its first week of release.

The Georgia native, who American Songwriter calls “a vibrant force of positivity in the world,” starred in her first Hallmark Channel movie, “Roadhouse Romance,” last year. It premiered to rave reviews and became the most-watched entertainment cable program of the day and week.

Alaina, who just wrapped her second career headlining trek, “On Top Of The World Tour Presented By Maurices” with multiple sell-outs, has also shared the stage with superstars including Alan Jackson, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Martina McBride and Jason Aldean. Alaina sold out her own, first-ever headlining, “That Girl Was Me Tour,” and has performed on some of the highest-profile stages in the world.
