Buffalo Sabres, Roswell Park to host prostate cancer screening event on May 11

Eligible individuals can register for a free screening from 3-7 p.m.

The Buffalo Sabres and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center are teaming up to host a free prostate cancer early detection event at KeyBank Center this Wednesday, May 11, from 3-7 p.m. Eligible individuals can register to receive free prostate cancer screening from the experts at Roswell Park. Participants will meet Sabres alumni and have the opportunity to tour KeyBank Center. Prizes will be awarded throughout the evening, and light refreshments will be served. 

A press release stated, “The mission of the event is to provide the opportunity for early detection, which can save lives. According to the American Cancer Society, one in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. Other than skin cancer, it's the most common cancer in American men. When caught early, prostate cancer can be cured 90% of the time.”
