Tops is celebrating its 60th anniversary – and kicking off the 13th season of “Monopoly” with the return of its popular “Rip It & Bling” game. On Tuesday, Diane Gurbacki of Grand Island was awarded $5,000 in Tops gift cards, which may be redeemed for free gas or groceries.

The presentation took place at the Tops store located at 2140 Grand Island Blvd. Diane was accompanied by Richard, a board member at the Response to Love Center. They indicated a portion of the winnings would be donated to the Buffalo agency.

A press release said, “This year you’ll not only have a chance to win the grand prize of $60,000, but also 60 winners – just like Diane – will have a chance to win a one-carat diamond in honor of Tops 60th anniversary, or a year of free groceries!”

“Rip It & Bling” tickets are available at all Tops Friendly Markets locations through May 30, (or while tickets last). More than $17 million in prizes is expected to be presented to winners.

Customers can play every time they checkout using their Tops BonusPlus card. Each purchase transaction will receive one game ticket, and customers will also receive a game ticket for each participating vendor product purchased. For a no-purchase-necessary entry, visit the Tops website for details (www.topsmarkets.com).
