At 7:24 p.m. Wednesday, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office communications center received a 911 call reporting a residential structure fire on Glengrove Drive in the Town of Porter. Niagara County Sheriff's Office deputies responded and confirmed a fully involved attached garage fire, with the fire extending into the residence.
The occupants were able to evacuate the home. The fire was subsequently extinguished by responding fire companies. No injuries were reported. One dog perished in the fire.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is being conducted by the Niagara County Origin and Cause Team.
