'American Idol' season 20 set to crown new champion

Season 20 of “American Idol” concludes in epic fashion with the top three each hitting the “Idol” stage in hopes of securing America’s vote, including one round dedicated to “The Boss,” Bruce Springsteen. In the end, one winner will be crowned the winner.

“American Idol” airs live, coast to coast, Sunday, May 22 (8 p.m. EDT), on ABC. Watch episodes on demand and on Hulu the day following their premieres.

In addition to the finalists, there will be performances by superstar judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, as well as “American Idol” legend Carrie Underwood and superstars James Arthur, Sara Bareilles, Gabby Barrett, Michael Bublé, Deana Carter, Earth, Wind & Fire, Melissa Etheridge, Flo Rida, Ben Platt, Thomas Rhett and Tai Verdes. Emmy Award-winning host and producer Ryan Seacrest hosts.

On last night’s episode, the top five traveled to “The Entertainment Capital of the World” – Las Vegas – to be mentored by Underwood, an eight-time Grammy Award-winning country music superstar and 2005 “American Idol” winner. They visited Resorts World Theatre, home of Underwood’s ongoing “REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency.”

In the end, two contestants were eliminated leaving a finale with competitors Leah Marlene, Noah Thompson and Huntergirl (pictured).
