‘Let’s do this again!’ he exclaimed at end of 2021 EC Fair appearance

Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias, one of America's most successful stand-up comedians, will bring his brand-new material to The Buffalo News Grandstand at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19. He recently performed two sold-out shows at Dodger Stadium – he’s the first comedian to perform and sell-out that venue.

It’s been 25 years since Iglesias hit the stage for the first time. Performing to sold-out venues around the world, he was featured in The Hollywood Reporter's “Top 40 Comedy Players of 2018” issue alongside comedy giants Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock and Lorne Michaels. The California native honed his comedic skills in biker bars and dives before becoming one of the most popular comics in the U.S.

A press release noted, “Unlike many in the stand-up world, Iglesias' globally appealing comedy stays mostly clean, and his non-controversial material appeals to audiences of all ages and walks of life. Gabriel’s stand-up comedy is a mixture of storytelling, parodies, characters and sound effects that bring his personal experiences to life. He is also one of the most watched comedians on YouTube with almost a billion views, and has over 25 million followers across social media.”

Iglesias joins a lineup that also includes Zach Williams, “The Fab Four: The Ultimate Tribute,” Riley Green, Grand Funk Railroad, Trace Adkins with special guest Terri Clark and Lonestar, “Happy Together Tour” (featuring performers from The Turtles, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, The Classics IV, The Box Tops, The Vogues and The Cowsills) and Nelly.

Tickets for all paid shows in The Buffalo News Grandstand will go on sale at 9 a.m. June 10 only at www.tickets.com. Tickets purchased prior to the day of the show will include admission to the fair on the day of the performance. For members of the Erie County Agricultural Society, tickets will go on sale one day early. To become a member, visit https://www.ecfair.org/ecasmembership before May 31.
