“Gingerbread Wonderland” will return to the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute (NFCI) this December, with both in-person and take-home fun for families.

While there will not be a life-sized gingerbread village, crafty bakers of all ages are invited to take part in the gingerbread competition. Prizes include gift cards, community education classes at NFCI, dinner at Savor Restaurant and even scholarships for eligible high school and college students.

If pastry arts isn’t your style, families can also enjoy a magic show, balloon artistry, live music and visits with Santa. This year, take-home kits are available to preorder online. These kits include festive do-it-yourself crafts, gingerbread cookies with supplies to decorate, coloring sheets with crayons, and letters to Santa.

The schedule for “Gingerbread Wonderland” this year is:

√ Saturday, Dec. 4, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

√ Sunday, Dec. 5, noon to 4 p.m.

√ Saturday, Dec. 11, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

√ Sunday, Dec. 12, noon to 4 p.m.

In addition to the holiday fun inside NFCI, “Jingle Falls USA” will also provide activities on Old Falls Street outside of the building on Saturdays.

“Gingerbread Wonderland” and “Jingle Falls” events are free and open to the public, with free parking provided by the City of Niagara Falls. For more information on activities, or to purchase take-home kits, visit https://www.niagaracc.suny.edu/nfci/gingerbread/.
