The Wilson Lions Club is sponsoring its first “Meatball Throwdown Contest” on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2022, at the Wilson Historical Society. The contest is an initiative dedicated to raise funds for the Wilson Lions Club.
“Meatball Throwdown Contest” Chairperson Kathi Stein said there is no cost to enter the contest. Categories include traditional Italian, non-Italian and stuffed. All are welcome to participate.
The judges include Niagara County Sheriff Michael Filicetti; Phyllis Morgante, deputy clerk for the Town of Wilson; Michael White, Wilson House Restaurant owner; Thomas Patti, assistant district attorney; and Maj. Mathew Pizzola, squadron commander for the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station.
