Hand & upper extremity surgeon to see patients in Amherst and Orchard Park
UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, Western New York’s largest orthopaedic and sports medicine group, is growing again with the addition of Matthew A. Albanese, a hand and upper extremity surgeon.
Albanese comes to UBMD from The University at Buffalo where he completed his hand and upper extremity fellowship. A native of Manlius, Albanese said he is excited to start his practice and join the Western New York community. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at SUNY Upstate Medical University.
“The hand is an essential part of the human experience. Therefore, it is my goal to help patients optimize the functional use of the upper extremities,” Albanese said.
He is actively involved in ice hockey and is a member of the NCAA Ice Hockey Officials and the National Ice Hockey Officials Association. He is also a member of the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
Albanese will see patients in Amherst on Harlem Road, and in Orchard Park at the BrookBridge office on Big Tree Road.
