Whom will the slipper fit?

“Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella,” produced by the Wilson Music Parents Association, will play in the William H. O’Connor Performance Center at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, and 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13. Tickets will be $10 general admission, and $8 for students and seniors.

In this 2013 Broadway version of the show, young Ella (Katrina Nye) lives in the care of her wicked, self-absorbed stepmother, Madame, (Allison Hogan) and Madame’s two daughters, Charlotte (Cassidy Wagner) and Gabrielle (Rayn Cooper). Ella’s only friends are the animals in the woods, “crazy Marie” (Gianna Fuentes) and the revolutionary student Jean-Michel (Prestin Boyce). Meanwhile, Prince Topher (Gabe Fitzgibbon) is trying to find himself and learn his place in the kingdom. When his scheming adviser, Sebastian (Gabe Cooper), suggests throwing a ball so the Prince can meet potential brides, Ella and Topher’s different worlds come together.

Wilson noted, “Expect the unexpected in this clever retelling of the beloved fairy tale. This contemporary take on the classic tale features some of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s most beloved songs, as well as some new characters and surprising twists.”

“Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella” will be directed by Gretchen Fournier and choreographed by Clarissa Malloy, with music and vocal direction by Claudia Andres and instrumental direction by Adam Brignone. Paige Hardison will head up set design and construction, as well as supervise the student backstage team.

In addition to new music, the show includes some of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s most beloved songs, "In My Own Little Corner," "Impossible/It's Possible," "Ten Minutes Ago," and "Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful?" – all alongside “a hilarious and romantic new book which introduces some new characters and surprising twists.”
