Niagara County Legislator Owen Steed will host a community forum for residents to learn about many of the services available to them through Niagara County and partner agencies. The free event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at the Doris Jones Family Resource Center, 2001 9th St., Niagara Falls.

“At a time when many people are faced with difficult times, I wanted to let them know there are resources out there that can help and bring those resources all into one place,” Steed said.

The event is co-sponsored by the Niagara County Department of Employment and Training, the Niagara County Office for the Aging, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office and the Niagara County Community Action Program (NIACAP).

“Whether it’s meeting with NIACAP for help paying utilities bill or your rent, or learning about job training and employment opportunities, we will a broad array of people ready to talk to you,” Steed said. “Just take a few minutes to stop by and let’s see how we can help you and your family out.”
