The Arts Council for Wyoming County (ACWC) will present the 45th anniversary Letchworth Arts & Crafts Show & Sale (LACS) at the Perry Village Park this Columbus Day weekend (Oct. 9-11). The juried event will feature more than 200 artisans displaying their wares, plus food vendors, live entertainment and other fun activities for the entire family.

Organizers said, “As you shop, you’ll be able to choose from some of the best pottery, paintings, quilts, fiber arts, handcrafted jewelry, photography, furniture, decorative painting, dried floral arrangements, packaged specialty foods, and so much more all made by talented creators from all over the country.”

On moving the show to Perry, the noted, “ACWC was disappointed with the cancellation of LACS in 2020, and knew that, despite COVID-19 restrictions and the challenges preventing us from holding the event at Letchworth State Park, that this year the show must go on! Perry is the home of ACWC and the perfect temporary replacement for Letchworth! A centrally located village, 3 miles from the Perry Entrance to Letchworth State Park and 1 mile from Silver Lake, Perry is a beautiful, tree-filled community that captures the charm and beauty of autumn in Wyoming County. And although we’ve temporarily relocated, LACS will be the same great show, rated one of the top 50 classic art festivals in the USA.”

Wyoming County Director of Tourism Eric Szucs said, “We are thrilled to welcome the Letchworth Arts and Crafts Show and Sale to Perry. This is one of the premier arts and craft shows in New York state, and is a testament to the Arts Council for Wyoming County’s hard work and dedication. It is a destination event, attracting tens of thousands of tourists and visitors to the county, generating revenue within our communities, benefitting local businesses and residents. We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the spectacular fall foliage, visit nearby Letchworth State Park, support this nationally recognized arts and crafts show, and explore our many amazing rural businesses!”

As for safety measures, organizers said, “ACWC will be prioritizing providing the highest level of safety for both artisans and attendees with a safety plan that will reflect current CDC guidelines. With these concerns in mind, masks will be required for all guests on shuttles to and from the park, and are recommended for all guests throughout the event; social distancing protocols will be strictly observed, and no dogs will be allowed in the park during the show.”

The ACWC is partnering with the Perry Fire Department and the Perry Rotary Club to provide attendees with food vendors and a state-of-the-art parking and shuttle system. Attendees should come prepared to pay a $10 parking fee, which will cover the shuttle ride to and from the event venue.
