Wegmans to donate proceeds of Meals 2Go sales to FeedMore WNY, host community event

As the Buffalo Bills and Wegmans kick off “Huddle For Hunger Week,” Wegmans’ customers can help fight hunger in Western New York with a “Buy a Meal, Give a Meal” promotion through Meals 2Go.

Wegmans will donate part of the proceeds of all Meals 2Go orders placed on the Wegmans Meals 2Go app in Erie, Niagara and Chautauqua counties through Thursday, Sept. 23. The donations will directly support FeedMore WNY. This promotion wraps up just as the Buffalo Bills Foundation hosts its annual “Huddle for Hunger” food drive on Thursday at One Bills Drive.

“Our relationship with hunger fighting agencies is deep-rooted, and we’re thrilled to be able to support those doing this important work,” said Mike Keating, Wegmans Buffalo division manager. “We’re so excited to partner with the Buffalo Bills Foundation in these initiatives.”

The Buffalo Bills Foundation and Wegmans will host a group of students from Niagara Falls City Schools on Tuesday for a community event and grant announcement.

On Thursday, the Buffalo Bills and Wegmans will host the “Huddle For Hunger” food drive at Highmark Stadium. Fans are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to the contactless, drive-thru collection to benefit FeedMore WNY. The first 2,500 donors will receive a “Huddle for Hunger” reusable bag as a thank you. While at the stadium, fans can stop by the Buffalo Bills garage sale in lot 2. Autographed merchandise, team-issued jerseys and many more items will be available at discounted prices to benefit the Buffalo Bills Foundation.

On Friday, the Buffalo Bills will host the “50 Yard Finish” 5K race at Highmark Stadium, where runners will finish the race at the 50-yard line. The Bills garage sale will move inside the stadium for the event, and continue to offer unique discounted items to benefit the Buffalo Bills Foundation.

Wegmans is the presenting sponsor of the “Huddle For Hunger” game Sunday afternoon when the Bills host the Washington Football Team at 1 p.m.
