Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced Michael Blackburn of Niagara Falls was sentenced to two to six years in state prison by the Hon. Richard C. Kloch Sr. for his conviction of leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident.

Blackburn plead guilty to driving the vehicle that struck an ATV operated by Evonne Printup-Rice on May 7, 2020, at about 2:15 a.m. on Garlow Road in the Town of Lewiston, and then fleeing the scene without reporting the incident to police.

Printup-Rice died as a result of the crash. Blackburn was located at his residence in Niagara Falls several hours after the crash by members of the Lewiston Police Department and Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, who investigated the matter.
