He was charged with assault in the second degree (D felony), reckless endangerment in the first degree (E felony), fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle (E felony), and a series of vehicle and traffic law violations. Additional charges may be pending.

The 76-year-old female operator of Toyota was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, where she was treated for minor injuries and released. Her canine companion was transported from the scene by a family member.

The 36-year-old female driver of the Ford was taken to ECMC after suffering a compound fracture to the wrist. Her passenger was treated at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for minor injuries. A 4-year-old, who was a passenger in the back seat, did not appear to be injured.

The police vehicle sustained minor damage, and the driver was not injured.
