The 21st annual Elder Law Day Virtual Summer Series was a collaboration between the Center for Elder Law & Justice and Erie County Department of Senior Services, which recently completed the second year of virtual presentations and consultations. All videos are available at https://elderjusticeny.org/elder-law-day.

This collaboration is designed to provide information on legal issues affecting older adults to assist them (and their caregivers) in making informed choices about their health, financial well-being, and long-term health care needs. Some of the topics covered include estate planning, scams targeting older adults, foreclosures and evictions, long-term-care planning, Medicaid basics, and the new power of attorney law.

Amanda Warner, Esq., director of pro bono programs at Center for Elder Law & Justice, said, “We are pleased to announce that all of our 2021 Virtual Elder Law Day Summer Series presentations are now available for viewing online. While we hope 2022 will bring back the opportunity for an in-person event as in years past, we are grateful to our panel of presenters for sharing their expertise on a variety of topics of importance to seniors and their caregivers in a way that is safe and accessible. We hope that you will tune in and share this wealth of information widely in your networks.”
