Classic car show, Sportsman Tavern musicians, BW's barbecue
St. Stephen R.C. Church, 2100 Baseline Road, will hold its major annual fundraiser, “Rockin’ the Grounds,” from 5-9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18.
The event will feature BW’s Smokin’ Barrels Barbecue, music by local musicians from the Sportsman Tavern, more than $7,000 in raffle prizes, a 50/50 raffle, a basket raffle, and a classic car show. Hot dogs, ice cream treats, and beer and wine will be available.
At 8 p.m., there will be a mortgage burning toast, as the parish officially retires its mortgage.
