'Scare Fair': Six Flags Darien Lake hiring over 200 positions for 'Fright Fest' during live auditions

Six Flags Darien Lake is looking for team members who aren’t scared of the dark to be a part of Western New York’s largest annual Halloween event, “Six Flags Fright Fest.”

Recognized for the fifth year in a row as one of the Nation’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For, Six Flags Darien Lake is hosting its first live “Scare Fair” from 2-6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13. The park is hiring for over 200 ghostly positions such as monsters, zombies and make-up artists. Applicants should apply online at www.sixflags.com/jobs or text SCARE to 220MONSTER.

“ ‘Fright Fest’ is back … bigger, better and scarier than ever this season,” President Mark Kane said. “We’re looking for talented people who want to get into the Halloween spirit and help deliver the chills and thrills that we’re known for.”

Seasonal team members who are hired by Oct. 11 and work through Oct. 31 can earn up to an additional $500 to $1,000 or more with a 10% bonus for wages earned from August through September and a 15% bonus for wages earned in October. To receive the bonus, employees must be hired by Oct. 11 and continuously employed through Oct. 31, without prior notice of an intention to resign. Offer applies only to U.S., nonunion, seasonal positions. Bonus shall be paid on total straight-time and overtime wages earned during the applicable bonus period. Further details are contained in the Six Flags seasonal retention bonus program document.
