Spectrum Health and Human Services is offering clients on-site treatment in addition to continuing delivering telehealth services.

Spectrum Health, a certified community behavioral health center providing mental health, addiction and 24/7 crisis services throughout the Western New York Region, began offering treatment using telephone and videoconferencing as an alternative to in-person sessions, as well as going to client homes, if needed.

A press release said, “At the beginning of the pandemic, we realized the safest thing would be to limit our staff and clients’ exposure in the community.”

Spectrum Health’s Niagara County ACT program is located on Main Street in Niagara Falls.

Clients – along with staff – follow all COVID-19 safety guidelines when reporting to any Spectrum Health site.

The press release noted, “All personnel at our sites wear facemasks from the moment they are on our property. Personnel are asked to sign in and are temperature-scanned upon entering. All locations have increased cleaning and follow all required protocols. Any client entering our facilities should feel safe and secure in our environment.”

Telehealth services will continue to be an option for clients who do prefer to continue receiving services from home.

“Telehealth services are a comfort to some clients. By offering our clients a choice, we’re empowering them to do what they are most comfortable with.”

Founded more than 45 years ago, Spectrum Health’s mission is to respectfully partner with adults, children and families as they recover from behavioral, emotional, mental health and/or substance abuse-related disorders, and to promote hope, empowerment and self-defined improvements in their quality of life.
