From June 24 through July 10, the Wheatfield Enhancement Volunteers invite residents and businesses, especially those along Niagara Falls Boulevard, to celebrate this country's independence by decorating for July 4th.

The goal is for the town – especially Niagara Falls Boulevard, as the major gateway – to be decorated in red, white and blue.

Participants on the north side of NFB who have Sawyer Creek in front of their property must only use their property (north of Sawyer Creek). Participants on the north and south sides of NFB would have to decorate on their own property. Pending permit approval, the New York State Department of Transportation right-of-way is off-limits.

The Town of Wheatfield will be leading the effort by placing flags in the garden area at the intersection of Nash Road.

Organizers said last year’s inaugural event was an unbridled success and they hope to match it again this year.

Participants are encouraged to share pictures on social media using #BlvdBeautification.
