Admission tickets for all four sessions of the 38th annual Taste of Buffalo presented by Tops, which will be held July 10 and 11, will go on sale June 11.

Admission tickets will cost $20 and will include food and beverage tickets. Admission tickets must be purchased in advance and no admission tickets will be sold at the festival. Children 3 years of age and younger will be free. Admission tickets are limited for each session as part of a one-year-only paid admission policy, which is part of the Taste’s COVID-19 health and safety plan to control the size of the crowd.

Tops Friendly Markets, Taste of Buffalo’s longtime presenting sponsor, will offer a special bonus ticket deal for the Tops Markets Session on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost of admission to the Tops Markets Session will be $20 and includes $15 in food and beverage tickets, a $5 bonus. Tickets for the Tops Markets Session are only available at the registers at Tops stores.

Admission tickets will be sold online for the other three sessions – 4:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday; and 3:30-7:30 p.m. Sunday. The $20 ticket admits one and includes $10 in food and beverage tickets. Guests should visit www.TasteofBuffalo.com on June 11 for a link to purchase tickets.

For the first time ever, guests will have the option to purchase additional food tickets online at the time they purchase their admission ticket. A minimum of one admission ticket must be purchased in order to purchase additional food tickets online. Guests will receive their food tickets when redeeming their admission ticket at the gate. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase additional food tickets at the ticket tent inside the festival during all four sessions.

To make entry into the festival smooth, each ticket purchased will inform guests which of three gates they should enter. Gate A will be located on Delaware Avenue at Huron Street; Gate B will be located at Court Street and Franklin Street and Gate C will be located at Delaware Avenue and West Eagle Street. Gates will open 30 minutes prior to the start of each session. The perimeter of the festival will be closed and monitored by security and guests will be given wristbands upon arrival that are specific to each session. Guests may purchase tickets to multiple sessions. All guests will be asked to exit the festival at the end of each session.

Since announcing the Taste had been granted local and state approval in May, event organizers have received updated COVID-19 guidance. In accordance with New York state COVID-19 rules, guests who are fully vaccinated will not need to wear a facemask at the festival. Guests who are not vaccinated are asked to wear a mask except while they are eating or drinking. Proof of vaccination and a negative PCR test are no longer required, although guests must complete an online health questionnaire within 24 hours of arrival.

Taste of Buffalo 2021 Chairwoman Amber Hartman said she’s excited to see tickets go on sale and encouraged interested patrons to get them fast.

“Tickets will be limited and with the interest we’ve seen already they’re likely to go fast,” Hartman said. “I highly encourage everyone to get ready to purchase their admission either at Tops or online as soon as they’re on sale to make sure you don’t miss out on this year’s event.”

The Taste of Buffalo presented by Tops is the nation's largest two-day food festival. A not-for-profit organization with more than 1,000 volunteers helps to put on the annual event. Approximately $541,000 has been raised at the festival for local charities, including three scholarships awarded last year to local high school seniors pursuing a culinary or hospitality-related degree.
