Down on the Corner Ice Cream realizes community is important and will be reaching out to various not-for-profit organizations throughout this year’s ice cream season.

“We are trying to hold a community event each month throughout the summer,” says Amy Bradley, owner/operator of Down on the Corner Ice Cream. “A chalk walk in June. Hospice is using our parking lot as a rest stop July 24 for their Gran Fondo ride. We hope to be working with other non-for-profits in August and September.”

May’s portion of designated sales went to the Myositis Association and this June’s funds will be donated to Lockport CARES Homeless Shelter.

The chalk walk is open to the whole community. This free sidewalk drawing event is sponsored by Down on the Corner Ice Cream, 3 Sisters Garlic and Country Hot Box Hot Dog stand (routes 425 and 93/North Ridge and Wilson-Cambria roads).
